Assetto Corsa PS4. Abarth 500 Assetto Corse. Spa Francorchamps six lap quick race. <br /> <br />A while back I did a race at Magione in the Abarth 500 Esse Esse against Alien AI opponents to see how I would fare against them. You can see that video here: <br /> <br />https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZphG1b_428 <br /> <br />With all the attention that the AI had been given by so many console players and the subsequent patch, 1.03, which supposedly addressed these matters, I decided to do a post patch race against more Aliens in the race version of the Abarth 500, the Assetto Corse. <br /> <br />Now, I'm certainly no "Alien" in the simracing sense of the word as anyone who watches my videos or has ever raced against me will testify. <br /> <br />I jumped into this quick race mode event without any practice which is why you will notice some horrible gear selection choices in the early laps. I took my setup from the one I recently used at the Nordschleife as it was the only one I had, and it actually worked pretty well here in Belgium too. <br /> <br />All this really proves of course is that in these cars, on this circuit, the Aliens of AC are a little weak; certainly weaker than "Hard" and "Very Hard" AI opponents I have encountered in other car/track scenarios. However, as it made me an honorary virtual alien for a few brief moments, I shall now go and have a beer :-) <br /> <br />Enjoy the racing.
